When working with any eyeshadow it is important to remember a few things:
- Frosted as well as light coloured shadows will highlight and draw attention.
- Matte as well as dark coloured shadows will recede the area.
- Adding liner to the waterline (the inside rim of the eye) will add a more dramatic look but may shrink the overall look of the eye.
- Always use a paint or primer on the lid before applying shadow to avoid creasing, prolong the wear and to bring out the true colour of the shadow.
- Determine the client's eye shape prior to application to ensure you get the best look possible.
